WhatsApp Chat Screen Changing: 'Liquid Glass' Design Coming Soon
WhatsApp is set to incorporate a 'Liquid Glass' design into its main chat screen. The company is integrating this trending design style—which has recently gained significant attention in the tech sector—into its platform.
In addition to the main screen, WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, is preparing to add this revamped interface within the chats themselves. WhatsApp began testing parts of this design on the bottom navigation bar and chat tabs as early as last year.
According to WABetaInfo, a platform that tracks WhatsApp updates, reports surfaced in early October that this new design was becoming available to some users. However, the rollout to the official app has been slower than expected, and most users have yet to receive the new interface.
Despite the slow public rollout, Meta is continuously expanding the 'Liquid Glass' design in the WhatsApp beta version available through 'TestFlight'. While the voice message player was updated with this new look earlier this year, WABetaInfo reports that work is now underway to bring the design to the entire 'in-chat' screen.

Currently, this feature is not yet available even to beta testers. However, WABetaInfo discovered and leaked the new interface by activating it within the app's hidden code. Since the feature is presently limited to the code, there is no confirmed official release date.
