IT TAKES UP TO 6 HOURS FOR WINDOWS TO FULLY UPDATE

Updates to the latest version of Microsoft Windows are expected to take up to 6 hours. David Gayer, Microsoft's program manager, made the announcement in a blog post. According to him, for Windows Update, it is necessary to be connected to the Internet for two hours continuously and a total of 6 hours of Internet connection will be required including install.

In this case, the necessary installation work will be completed in the background along with the download. In the meantime, if there is no internet connection, the installation process will start from the place where it was stopped earlier, said Gayer.

Replying to a comment on his blog post, he said, "It takes only a few hours to complete the main task of updating. The 6 hours I mentioned is for devices that are not used continuously. When there is no continuous connection on such devices, it seems to stop and restart and thus take more time."

He said, "Even in updates, some things happen from the beginning as soon as they are disconnected from the network. From that point of view, if both are taken as the basis, it is seen that 6 hours will be required after the completion of the whole process."
