A free, open-source app that can replace your 8 different apps
For Android phone users, the ability to easily find apps for any task is considered its biggest utility. From stitching images together to organizing PDFs or generating QR codes, countless alternatives are available on Android for small tasks.

However, downloading more single-purpose apps than necessary brings frustrating problems, such as having to re-download all those apps when switching to a new phone, keeping them updated, and filling up the phone's storage.
As a solution to such problems, an Android app named Image Toolbox has gained popularity, which can accomplish dozens of media-related tasks from a single app. This app can easily replace at least 8 different apps currently on users' phones. Click here to download the app.
Image Toolbox is an extremely useful and versatile app that packs dozens of media tools into a single platform. The app is open-source and completely free to use. Furthermore, it does not contain any type of advertisements.
The app's interface is very responsive and easy to use. Its bottom navigation bar provides four main tabs: Edit, Create, Image, and Tools. In the Edit tab, you can find editing tools such as resizing, cropping, and changing image formats. Similarly, the Create tab is provided for creating new media, the Image tab for additional image-related tasks, and the Tools tab for document scanners, GIF tools, and QR & Barcodes.
For user convenience, related tools are grouped by category. For example, tapping on GIF Tools inside the Tools tab opens numerous sub-tools like Images to GIF, GIF to images, GIF to JXL, and GIF to WEBP, keeping the main screen from looking cluttered.
If you use an Android phone, after using Image Toolbox, you will no longer need to download separate apps for the following tasks:
1. Image Resizer and Converter
Through the app's Resize and Convert tool, image dimensions can be easily changed by entering width and height. Additionally, in just a few taps, you can convert images into various formats and choose the type of compression. Another advantage is that you can see what the final file size will be before saving. For converting many images at once, there is also a separate Format Conversion tool that supports batch conversion.
2. EXIF Remover
The Delete EXIF tool helps remove personal details (EXIF data) such as location or camera details from images. Users can remove this data from multiple photos at once by choosing either all or specific tags.
3. Background Remover
To remove image backgrounds, the app features a Background Remover tool, which offers both automatic and manual options. For automatic tasks, it uses artificial intelligence models like RMBG, InSPyReNet, and BiRefNet. A helper guide feature is also provided for precision during manual editing.
4. PDF Editor
Its PDF Tools simplify all PDF-related tasks. Tasks such as creating PDFs from images, merging PDFs, deleting pages, rearranging pages, adding or removing passwords, and compressing PDFs to reduce file size can all be done with this tool.
5. Image Stitcher
With the help of the Image Stitching tool, multiple photos or screenshots can be joined horizontally or vertically. Options are available to arrange the order of images, set spacing, and change compression types.
6. GIF Creator
Using the Images to GIF tool under this section, multiple photos can be converted into a single animated GIF, which is very useful for demonstrating any process.
7. QR Code Generator
The QR & Barcode tool helps instantly generate personal QR codes using various templates like Wi-Fi, email, and phone numbers, or simply regular text.
8. Collage Maker
With the help of Collage Maker, you can create excellent collages by adjusting various grid layouts, aspect ratios, background colors, and spacing. Since it automatically selects a suitable template, creating collages becomes very effortless.
In addition to these, the app also features attractive extras like WEBP Tools for converting WebP files to images, Watermarking for adding watermarks, Edit EXIF for adjusting details of old camera photos, and Gradient Maker for creating gradient wallpapers.
Easy Customization Options
Image Toolbox is a highly customizable app. Users can easily change its theme, tool layout, saving location, and other behaviors. To do this, you need to tap the settings icon in the top-right corner of the app.
If you want to use this app even more conveniently, you can configure the following settings:
- Launcher Mode: Activating this option makes tools across all tabs appear like home screen app icons, allowing you to find tools instantly without scrolling through a long list. However, tool descriptions are not visible in this mode.
- Search Button: Located under Tools Arrangement, this option adds a floating search button to the app, making it easy to search for any tool.
- Changing the Save Folder: By default, edited files are saved in the Documents/ImageToolbox folder. However, to save files in the same location as the original file, you can turn on the Save to Original Folder option.
- Renaming Files: To easily recognize edited files, you can enable the Add original filename option, remove the default prefix, and add words like image-toolbox as a suffix.
