New Feature in Google Gemini: Create 3D Models and Simulations Easily Now

Google has introduced a powerful update to its Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool, Gemini. With the help of this new feature, the Gemini chatbot can now generate fully interactive 3D models and simulations in response to user queries, moving beyond just written answers (text) or simple images.Previously, Gemini could only generate interactive images. But now, it will bring complex scientific and mathematical concepts to life visually. Through this new technology, users can rotate (Rotate), zoom (Zoom) the AI-generated 3D model according to their wishes, and adjust various aspects by manually moving sliders. Additionally, a facility to input different values (Values) or numbers to instantly change the simulation has also been added.

During the testing of this feature, when Gemini was asked to 'show a simulation of how the Moon revolves around the Earth', it prepared a detailed 3D model. In this simulation, users get options like a slider to adjust the Moon's orbital speed, a toggle button to show or hide the orbital path (Orbital path), a button to pause (Pause) the simulation, and the ability to input specific numbers for initial velocity (Initial velocity) and gravity strength (Gravity strength) to see the effect instantly.

Furthermore, users can visually understand complex laws of physics by giving prompts like 'show me a double pendulum' or 'help me understand the Doppler effect (Doppler effect)'.

This update from Google comes at a time when other companies in the AI field are also focusing on visual mediums. Just a few weeks ago, Anthropic's Claude added the ability to automatically create charts and diagrams. Similarly, OpenAI's ChatGPT had also introduced a feature to visualize math and science concepts.

How to Use It?

All Gemini app users can utilize this feature. For that, one must first go to Gemini's website (gemini.google.com). Then, from the model selection area in the prompt bar, choose the 'Pro' (Pro) model and ask a question about any complex topic by saying 'show me' (show me) or 'help me visualize' (help me visualize).

After doing this, clicking on the 'Show me the visualization' button that appears below Gemini's written response opens the interactive model.

According to Google, this feature has started rolling out to all Gemini app users worldwide. However, for now, this facility has not been made available on 'Education' and 'Workspace' accounts. This update is expected to make the process of learning and research more convenient and effective.
