TELECOM HAS REDUCED INTERCONNECTION CHARGES, LOWER CHARGES FOR CALLING SIMS OF NCELL AND SMART

Nepal Telecom has reduced the "interconnection fee" applicable to customers

when making telephone and SMS calls to customers in the network of another telecommunication service provider from February 1, 2022.

According to the Interconnection Guideline 2076 issued by the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, the Authority has done so in accordance with the provisions mentioned in the Domestic Interconnection.

Accordingly, the tariff rate will be only Rs 1.10 per minute when calling another service provider's mobile (Ncell/Smart) from the company's wired phone (Landline). Similarly, calls from GSM, CDMA and C-phone postpaid to another service provider's network will be charged Rs 1.8 per minute and calls from GSM, CDMA and C-phone prepaid services to another service provider's network will be charged Rs 1.62 per minute.

In addition, the charge for sending messages from the postpaid and prepaid of the company's GSM and CDMA services to the network of other service providers will be Rs 1.10.
