WHY WINDOWS 9 AND IPHONE 9 DID NOT COME?

Apple and Microsoft are technology giants. Many of these
companies' technologies and services are available in the market. In particular, while saying Apple, iPhone comes to our mind. And the name Microsoft, Windows operating system comes to our mind. After all, with these products, companies have expanded themselves in the world market and are also getting success.

As we all know, Microsoft did not make Windows 9 public as Windows 7 and Windows 8. Similarly, Apple did not bring the iPhone 9 to the market. Both the companies have not made any official statement in this regard. But there is a lot of speculation on Windows 9 and iPhone 9 not making public. Many users have questions about this.

After all, why there is no iPhone 9?
In 2017, Apple celebrated its 10th anniversary by unveiling the iPhone X.

Earlier, the company had been naming the iPhone 4 on the basis of numbers, but after the release of the 8 and 8 Plus, everyone was expecting the name of the next phone to be 9. On the contrary, the company named it iPhone X also instead of iPhone 10.

After this, many people were asking why Apple did not name the iPhone 9? One of the many anticipations is Apple's annual celebration. It is said that the company named the new phone iPhone X (number 10 in Roman), leaving 9 after 8 because of Apple's tenth anniversary that year.

On the other hand, superstition is also considered as the basis for not naming the iPhone 9. Number 9 and 13 often considered inauspicious in many cultures. In some Asian countries, number 9 and number 13 have a negative connotation. For example, translating 9 in the Chinese literal sense means 'curse' and in Japanese it means 'torture' or 'pain'. Both countries are big markets for Apple. For this reason, it is estimated that Apple did not name the iPhone 9.

But if considering this speculation is true, Apple has just unveiled a new phone with the iPhone 13 name. So some say it's just a myth.

Similarly, some have taken it as a business strategy. Apple unveiled two iPhone 8 series phones in September of the same year, and released the iPhone X in November. Within a few months, the launch of two new phones was sure to confuse users.

The company named the iPhone X with the idea of making it a little different without naming the iPhone 9 as it would not be new for the users when the iPhone 9 phone came soon after the iPhone 8.

Some say that the company is trying to make it feel special in the eyes of the users by giving it a classy and unique name presenting it with additional upgraded features.

Many people compare iPhones between old and new. But because of this, the company is thinking of comparing the iPhone 8 and iPhone X users with better and best features rather than old and new.

Why Windows 9 did not come?
Like Apple, Microsoft did not name Windows 9 after Windows 8. Microsoft released Windows 8 in 2012. Similarly, in 2013, Windows 8.1 was released. Of course, the company wanted to name it Windows 9. But later the company abandoned that plan and renamed it Windows 8.1.

After that, in 2015, directly Windows 10 was made public. Microsoft wanted to show that Windows 10 would be its last 'major' Windows update. The company was planning to offer smaller updates thenafter on Windows 10, rather than releasing a new version each year. That is why it is said that the company gave the name Windows 10 instead of Windows 9 to make it grand. However, few months ago, Windows 11 went public.

Another statement was that Microsoft Windows version 8 was highly criticized. After that the company wanted to make a lot of changes in Windows 8.

In the past, there were versions called Windows 95 and 98. It is also said that the company did not name Windows 9 because of the confusion and code overlap in naming Windows 9.
